Neha Singh’s Solo exhibition in Vizag
Dys Art Gallery is a platform for all emerging, mid-career, and established artists in the district of Visakhapatnam, other states in India, and international, who wish to experience a unique gallery setting for their solo or group exhibit, artworks on consignment, workshops, classes, and other arts live shows. Gallery events must be organized so that the works of art by the artist are well displayed and well presented to the public.
Dys Art Gallery would like to invite you to visit and support our ongoing art exhibition “DRAGONS AND BEYOND” featuring our talented artist, Ms. Neha Singh from the navy community in the city of Destiny, Visakhapatnam.
The exhibition will run from April 15 through April 21, 2022, 11:00 am- 9:00 pm.
Mrs. Vijayasekhar w/o Rear Admiral Vijayasekhar was the Chief Guest and Mrs. Shilpa Sardeshai w/o of Rear Admiral A.Y. Sardesai was the Guest of Honor and inaugurated the exhibition.
Artist Biography: A Fashion Design graduate from NIFT, New Delhi, Neha Singh started her creative journey as a Garment Designer, but gradually made a paradigm shift towards Fine Art. She is a self-taught artist and started practicing art in 2012. Over the last 10 years, her muses have ranged from divinity, still life and landscapes in the initial years of her practice to her all-time favourite subject – dragons, then the Navrasas and the COVID-19 pandemic in the recent years. She is also greatly inspired by the powerful underwater war machine, the Submarine, and has commissioned an oil painting of one in 2017. She commissioned another artwork in oils of the Buddha in 2019. Yet another oil artwork commissioned by her in the year 2021 was that of a Vietnamese landscape. Although she specializes in oils as a medium, she has explored acrylics as well, specifically the liquid pouring technique. Apart from acrylic pouring, she has customized artwork in acrylic paints in the year 2021 as well. She has also created cover pages for the Navy Wives Welfare Association newsletter as well as the cover page of a coffee table book for the same organization.
